Mrs Lao’s traditional chicken-raising techniques were all she knew before meeting our Partner in Cambodia. She struggled to see her livestock multiply which made it difficult to put food on the table, provide her children with an education, and save for her future.
Mrs Lao’s prospects changed when she became involved in our Partner’s project. She was invited to learn more effective techniques for raising chickens, and by using these techniques, she had poultry and eggs for her family to consume, and could earn an income by selling chickens.
Recently Mrs Lao joined the Farmer Producer Group which focuses on chicken production. She hopes this will give her opportunities to increase her chickens and sell them at a stable price as her business expands.
