We’ve recently changed the way we promote Child Sponsorship to better protect the safety, privacy and dignity of the children and young people in our programs. Baptist World Aid will no longer display the faces of children awaiting Sponsorship online. After becoming a Sponsor you’ll receive photographs of, and updates on, the child you’re supporting. One of the joys of being a Sponsor is the connection you form with the child or youth you support. When you exchange letters, you’ll build a relationship that is mutually beneficial, for your family and theirs!
Child Sponsorship Programs go beyond individual children ensuring families have access to what they need to flourish. Livelihood and skills training, Self-Help and Savings Groups, Water and Sanitation Projects (and more) ensure whole families can experience fullness of life as God intends.
As children and young people grow in leadership and life skills, they step into adulthood equipped to address the challenges faced by their communities and help lead themselves and their neighbours out of poverty—for good.
