Sophea* lives with her parents and two sisters in Cambodia. Without a steady income, her parents found it difficult to cover the basics like food and shelter, let alone school fees, so the sisters didn’t have many opportunities to play and learn with others.
But when the family became participants with our Christian Partner’s program, all their lives changed for the better. With help learning new agricultural practices, Sophea’s parents became financially secure, and could afford to put their daughters in school. The girls also joined our Partner’s Child Club where they could play, make friends, and learn important self-advocacy skills like knowing their rights.
Now Sophea enjoys being a child, safe and healthy, and is gaining confidence, thanks to gifts like this Arts and Crafts card
