You can raise money for your birthday, at your wedding, through a fun run, or by hosting an event. Check out our How It Works section for some easy fundraising ideas.
If you can’t find what you’re after, complete an Application to Fundraise Form and send it on to our helpful fundraising team at [email protected]. We’ll do our best to get in touch with you within five business days.
There are a number of different causes that you can choose to raise money for… so, we recommend that you choose something you’re really passionate about!
Select one of the following and get started!
Unfortunately, you are unable to raise money for more than one appeal at one time… but you can always host a second fundraiser in the future!
You can choose to fundraise for Baptist World Aid Australia on any day or at any time of the year that suits you!
Absolutely not! Whether you end up raising a small or large amount… remember that every little bit helps! Your support makes a world of difference and we are so grateful for your faithful generosity!
If you have a fundraising page set-up already, all you need to do is login to your Baptist World Aid My Account using your email address and password. When you select My Fundraisers in your My Account, you can personalise it by adding photos, updating the description of your event, or changing the name of your event. You can thank your supporters via social media and keep them updated by writing blog posts.
If you have trouble accessing and personalising your fundraising page, feel free to contact our helpful fundraising team at [email protected].
While we are really grateful for your support and will try to help where we can, your fundraising event is yours to organise, because you are in the best position to do that. It’s important for us not to take on a coordination role in your activities, as we are not really resourced for this. By doing this you are helping us keep our overheads as low as possible.
If your fundraising event incurs costs as well as generate an income, it is a legal requirement that you complete a Budget, Income and Expenditure Form. Having a detailed record of the costs involved means that you can deduct the necessary expenses from the proceeds of your fundraising event, provided they are properly documented. Download our Budget, Income and Expenditure Form and please refer to our Fundraising Guidelines for further information.
Baptist World Aid Australia is a Child Safe organisation and has a Child Safe Policy in place. We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and to their protection from abuse and exploitation in all aspects of our operations. If your fundraising event or activity involves children under 18 years of age, please discuss this with us in advance of your event by contacting our fundraising team at: [email protected]. If your activity includes children, we will require you to ensure our Child Safe Code of Conduct is implemented at all times during the activity.
If you have an online fundraising page, and your donors support your fundraiser through your page, then they will automatically receive a receipt from Baptist World Aid Australia. The receipt will be sent to the email address that the donation was made under.
Tax-deductibility can be claimed for gifts of $2 or more. But to receive tax-deductibility, the donor must not have received anything in return – therefore ticket sales, auction purchases, and entry fees are not tax-deductible.
All money raised and donated during your fundraising activity must be returned to Baptist World Aid within 14 days of its completion. If your fundraising activity is going to occur over a number of weeks, we recommend you set-up an online fundraising page or, where this is not practical, that the funds raised be sent to our office every two weeks.
Please ensure you return all donation receipt forms and income and expenditure statements to Baptist World Aid Australia at the same time that the funds are deposited and/or mailed.
Do something active, pledge your birthday, donate in lieu of gifts, or host a special fundraising event! Make a personalised fundraising page and share it with your family and friends.Ready to start your fundraiser?
