Leila and her family are Syrian refugees who fled to Lebanon when ISIS attacked their home. While on the move, her husband was captured and imprisoned for two months, so Leila was left on her own with her two children. Without warm clothes, the children became sick from the freezing weather and she had no way to afford medical treatment.
Our Christian Partner provided Leila with medical assistance, social support, food vouchers, gas for heating and cooking, and a washing machine. While Leila and her family still struggle, they are thankful for the support they have received.
‘I feel very thankful, for everything that happened during this project. You never left us, you stood by us and protected us,’ Leila said. ‘We were in a dark place for a long time, and although we still are, we have hope that things will be better.’
