Through supporters like you, our Partner is aiming to provide critical health and nutrition services for over 15,540 people in Sudan, including malnutrition treatment for young children and postnatal care for mothers.

Many of us are aware that in the midst of escalating violence and conflict, Sudan is experiencing the world’s worst hunger crisis, with famine-like conditions across the country. When we launched our appeal over a year ago, our supporters responded swiftly to help families survive this crisis—and we’re so thankful. This meant we could help families from Sudan who had fled to Chad meet their needs.

Thanks to your donation, our Partners are addressing people’s needs in the following ways:

Fighting Disease And Hunger

Ongoing conflict and the disruption of public health services has led to disease outbreaks in Sudan, particularly in the western region of Darfur. Many people are suffering from malaria, diarrheal diseases, respiratory infections, and maternal health services are severely limited. On top of this, people are facing emergency levels of food insecurity. Many farmers have lost access to their land, and must rely on humanitarian assistance to feed their families.

Through donations from supporters like you, our Partner is providing primary health care and nutrition services for around 15,540 vulnerable people in Darfur, focusing on children under five and pregnant and lactating women.

This includes:

  • Health consultations in strategically located mobile units, each stocked with medicines and medical supplies
  • Vaccinations for children under two, protecting them against preventable diseases
  • Treating children with diseases such as malaria, respiratory infection and diarrheal diseases
  • Antenatal and postnatal care services for mothers
  • Malnutrition screening and treatment for children under five
  • Training, supervision and technical support for those providing healthcare services

Your donations have helped provide vital support for families, both those who are living in displacement settlements in Chad, and those in Sudan who are facing hardship amidst conflict.

Violence Is Escalating—Can You Help?

On 26 October 2025, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) seized control of El-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, from the Sudanese army. Horrific reports of mass killings, genocidal violence and attacks on aid workers have emerged. Reports are still coming in, but it’s estimated that tens of thousands of people have fled the city into areas that are already overcrowded due to displacement. The total number of people displaced due to the conflict (including those who have fled across borders) is now estimated to be over 11.7 million, making Sudan the largest displacement crisis in the world.

Our Partners in Sudan are supporting families who have been impacted by ongoing violence—especially those most vulnerable who are malnourished. Can you help?

Yes, I’ll help families survive.

And in the meantime, please pray with us for:
• Peace and safety for people in Sudan, especially the city of El-Fasher where so much violence is occurring.
• Protection and healing for children and families suffering from disease and malnutrition, especially in conflict-affected areas like Darfur.
• Safety for our Partner’s staff members as they deliver life-saving services in extremely challenging conditions, including violent conflict.
• Support for Sudan from other nations—that this crisis would not be overlooked by the rest of the world.

Your donations have helped provide vital support for families, both those who are living in displacement settlements in Chad, and those in Sudan who are facing hardship amidst conflict.

May our God of compassion sustain the people of Sudan. Please join us as we continue to pray for peace and safety for all.
