Despite years of economic transformation following the Khmer Rouge regime, inequality is still a challenge in Cambodia, and many families are struggling with poverty. Communities in rural areas are vulnerable to food insecurity, disease outbreaks and the impact of climate-related disasters. Many children are unable to finish school, putting them at high risk of exploitation.

By supporting the work of our local Christian Partners in Cambodia, you’ll help communities implement long-term solutions to poverty, such as:

• Child and Youth Clubs – programs where children gain the skills and confidence they need to thrive, and young people are prepared for gainful employment in the future.
• Child Protection – helping communities and churches strengthen safety measures, reduce risk, and raise awareness of child trafficking, exploitation and abuse.
• Self Help Groups – community-led groups where members work together to address community issues such as child marriage, domestic violence, and accessibility for people with disabilities.
• Livelihood training – helping people establish small businesses and improve their agriculture techniques, so they can better provide for their families.
• Disaster preparedness – improving a community’s resilience to future disasters through training and risk management planning.
