The fashion industry systemically mistreats workers and harms the environment.
For over a decade, the Ethical Fashion Guide has been shining a light on this injustice by holding brands to account and helping consumers choose better. But we still have a long way to go.
There are over 300 million people worldwide working in the fashion supply chain—many earning below a living wage and without basic rights.
The fashion industry is also a major contributor to landfill, water pollution, and around 10 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions.
This impacts local communities that are already vulnerable from poverty.

Without independent research like the Ethical Fashion Guide, much of this injustice goes unnoticed—leaving consumers without the information needed to demand change.
Baptist World Aid’s Ethical Fashion Guide assesses the practices and supply chains of over 500 brands, and is used by over 7,000 Australians each month. This work is critical to uncovering the truth behind brand claims and pushing companies to improve labour conditions and environmental practices.
But it can’t continue without your help.
Will you help hold brands accountable and fund this vital research today?
