Reflect the hope of Christ to communities experiencing poverty this Christmas

The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.” (Luke 2:10)

Christmas is a time of good news for all as we gather in thanks to God for his most wonderful gift: Jesus. We invite you to share our dream of a better world where all people live in fullness of life as God intends.

Give a gift to our Christmas Appeal to help families thrive now and for generations.

Generosity Opened Doors

Regina is raising her grandchildren in rural Kenya where drought and inflation have made life incredibly difficult for subsistence farmers like her. Additionally, her granddaughter, Imani was born with hearing and speech disabilities.

‘We struggled to have enough food. And we were also struggling with how to take care of a child with disability,’ said Regina. ‘I worried that she might not ever get an education. What would happen when I die?’

Watch this video and hear how God heard Regina’s fears, and blessed her through the work of his people.

Will you help transform lives in Kenya and beyond?

Regina just wants to see her granddaughter thrive in fullness of life. But poverty and the isolation, brought about by the barriers created by disability were limiting her opportunities to participate, belong and flourish.

This Christmas, will you reflect the hope of Christ to communities in need this Christmas? Your gift will go towards helping people like Regina in Kenya, but also to other projects around the world where the need is greatest.

Give today so more families like Regina’s can emerge from poverty.

Thanks to generous supporters and our local Christian Partners, Regina and Imani’s lives have been transformed. Regina is now part of a Self Help Group dedicated to families of people with disabilities. She’s learned how to dramatically increase her harvests, while also receiving essential support for managing Imani’s conditions. As a result, the whole family now has food security, and Imani attends a school for deaf children.

‘Imani’s life has changed a lot. She was hopeless about tomorrow, but now she has a future and is acquiring education,’ Regina said. ‘I’m optimistic about the future because we have God. I keep on praying, and I'm sure the life of my granddaughter will continue to change.’

Will you help transform lives in Kenya and beyond?
