On 25th June 2021, a catastrophic landslide caused by continuous rain occurred in a remote mountainous region of Nepal. A total of 760 people were displaced as their houses were swept away. One of those people was Bane. He and his family were left without a home and was unable to farm his land. In our emergency response and because of the generous gift of Disaster Toolkits, Bane’s family and other families like his received a tarpaulin, blankets, mattress, rice, pulse, salt and oil. With such support, he was able to build a makeshift shelter. He and his community have received continued support and preparing them for future disasters so they can recover quickly.
