Richard lives in Uganda and has a disability. Until he met our local Christian Partner, he couldn’t work, and wasn’t able to participate in many activities within his community. Now, through participation in our Partner’s program, he has gained the skills, opportunities and confidence to grow and sell trees such as jackfruit and passionfruit. His tree business means he now has a steady income.
Richard is looking forward to a great future. He hopes to set up a processing and packaging system so he can sell juice from his fruit, and one day build a home. Trees and other plants also help hold the soil together to protect Richard’s household during floods, contributing to a healthier and more sustainable environment.
