Volunteer with us

It was a group of committed volunteers who first began the poverty ending work which Baptist World Aid Australia continues today.

In the first 20 years as an organisation, Baptist World Aid was run solely by these volunteers – people who were so committed to being love, that they faithfully gave of themselves to ensure every dollar donated made the biggest possible difference. Decades have passed, but one thing remains constant: Baptist World Aid is still incredibly blessed by the generosity of its volunteers.

Baptist World Aid has partnered with Better Impact to manage our volunteer applications. To see what volunteer roles are available and to apply, click on the button below! Please note, you will need a Better Impact login to fill in an application. For assistance, please contact call 1300 789 991 or email [email protected].

LOVE IN ACTION

Baptist World Aid volunteers assist across the life and breadth of our organisation. Their time and talent consistently helps to minimise our administration costs so we can maximise the funds we invest in projects overseas. We have volunteers that help with mail processing, child sponsorship program assistance, general administration, supporter assistance, database management, advocacy research, finance, IT and even marketing assistance! So, as you can see, there are a variety of ways to get involved.

As one of our valued volunteers, you will be provided with initial (and ongoing) training and support for your role. As an organisation we are committed to providing you with best practice standards, including the National Standards for Involving Volunteers in Not-for-Profit Organisations (developed by Volunteering Australia).

We truly love our Baptist World Aid volunteers. They are an indispensable part of our team, but more than that, they are a message of love in action.

If you would like to be generous with your time and help end poverty, apply for a volunteer position today!

In retirement, I love volunteering with Baptist World Aid as it is a happy place to work. I have learned many new skills and made good friendships here; and, most importantly, I never leave without hearing “Thank you” at least once each day. What I give to this organisation, I get back twofold. Being able to help has given me new self-confidence and has helped my spiritual life immeasurably.
