Zuribi to Pamplona 24km

We started today early and decided to do some stretching and eat a hearty breakfast…great choices! We headed off in the mist and walked in clouded valleys for a couple of hours. Even packed snacks and lunch…eating our way along the Camino today.

Today seemed so much easier. Thank you God. Legs a little stronger and finding our rhythm. Each time I groaned at an approaching small hill, Mark called them ‘mounds’ compared to what we have climbed. We even decided to take a longer route to Pamploma which was past a picturesque river nearly the whole way and it was exquisitely beautiful. Well worth the extra km!

We were very conscious today of our Syrian ‘friends’ who are walking for their lives. We stopped to pray a number of times for them. We also prayed for people to donate to help meet their most basic needs. We have a big goal.

Highlights: Feet feeling a lot better, ‘mounds’ instead of mountains, bubbling river beside us all day, an hour walking with worship musjc on and listening together (very precious), 15 minutes in the Cathedral of Pamplona praying for family and friends, seeing the route for the Running of the Bulls (amazing)…and a private room tonight with a bath to soak in!

Poles are your best friend walking uphill. In Life, you need extra support to climb the mountains.
There is nothing like the sound of water to soothe the soul. Iin Life we have a source of living water, Jesus, who does this in a deeper and eternal way.
When listening to music and walking it was as if Jesus walked with us. In life as our heart is turned to worship, the presence of God goes with us.
Sleeping and eating well makes all the difference. In life…yep rest up and eat up!
