Estella to Los Arcos 24 km

This was our easiest walking day yet.
We have now walked a total.of 141.1km.

We were up before dawn today and out on the road by the time the sun rose. It was beautiful watching the colours change in the sky as we walked along. The first 8km were ascending and descending yet another mountain, (who knew Spain had so many mountains) but then it was fairly flat farming land the rest of the way. What a relief.

It was a lot easier walking today without my backpack and we made good timing arriving at our Albergue by 1pm. Yay. Time to rest and recover.

Highlights. Free wine available on tap (although we didnt indulge at 7.30am), beautiful canola fields, open farmland and plenty of ‘green toilet’ opportunities ( and I needed these ALL day…no more details needed!), free muffin with cafe con leche (flat white)..its the small things! … and beautiful wildflowers everywhere.

The sun rose in great beauty today and warmed the land. In life, it is Gods love that warms our hearts.
Free wine in the morning was quite unusual. In life, God has new wine for us each day in the form of his blessing and guidance.
Spring is everywhere with flowers and new growth. We are praying for different blessings for you all…for some to find a new job, for someone to have a baby, for someone to heal from hurts. Its a privilege to have time to walk and pray for friends and family.

Mark and I are feeling a lot better and are grateful for your support and prayers.
