On 9 October, the Turkish government launched a military offensive in northeast Syria. Innocent families were caught in the crossfire, leaving them with no choice but to flee their homes for their lives.
Despite a recent and tenuous ceasefire, localised fighting continues. And innocent families remain in grave danger.
The Syrian crisis is now well into its eighth year. After this latest attack, hundreds of thousands of Syrians are again on the move. From northeast Syria alone, 108,514 people remain internally displaced, while 13,378 more have made it across the border to relative safety of Iraq… which could grow to as many as 50,000 if this violence continues.
Innocent families are in desperate need of your lifesaving support.
Give now to the Syria Crisis Appeal. Your gift means urgently needed medical care for those who have fled their homes… for mums, dads, and their precious children. It will provide lifesaving food and nutritional support for severely malnourished children. Clothes and blankets to help families survive the deadly winter months. And it will provide urgently needed water and sanitation in already overcrowded border camps.
These innocent families have already lost so much. They fled their homes with little more than the clothes on their backs. Give urgently. Give today to provide lifesaving medical care and save innocent lives.
