Childhood is precious and fleeting. But children living in vulnerable communities often carry heavy burdens that rob them of the chance to simply be a child. Too often, these children miss out on an education, time to play with friends, and the care they need to grow up happy and healthy. In some places, the combination of poverty and traditional cultural practice means that 40 per cent of girls are married before their 18th birthday, and many much younger.
And when this happens, whole communities are impacted when a generation misses out on the opportunity to flourish.
The Vulnerable Children Fund supports projects that positively impact children, so that they can experience the fullness of life God intends.
