2021 has brought more humanitarian crises than we’ve seen since World War II. The predominant reason is COVID-19. While Australians have been largely protected, the global pandemic and other disasters have had a heartbreaking effect on countries already struggling to combat poverty.

Thankfully, God continues to provide through his people. Now, we need to help as the latest wave of COVID-19 spreads throughout Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and potentially more countries in South Asia. Read more about the situation in South Asia here.

I WANT TO GIVE

We believe God has called us to care for those in the most vulnerable situations. This remains an urgent time in our fight against the pandemic.

‘We are surrounded with bad news and crisis. But our work has to go on, we cannot stop the work of reaching out and giving help. In this pandemic there are many needs, one of them is hope,’ our partner in Nepal said.

Your donation will help provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits for hospital staff; medical equipment for monitoring and care of COVID positive patients; oxygen generators and oxygen storage unit for hospitals; and vital medicine.

At Baptist World Aid, we trust that God is still at work in our broken world and we feel compelled to join him. As part of the #EndCovidforAll Campaign, we know that none of us are safe until all of us are safe.

Will you join us? We have been blessed so much by living in Australia, so please pray for India and its neighbouring countries and give generously to respond to this unfolding tragedy across South Asia today.
