Three severe cyclones and monsoonal rainfall have struck south and southeast Asia at the end of November causing widespread devastation across the region.
So far, it’s reported that over 1,300 people have been killed across Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam.
In Sri Lanka, over 1.1 million people have been displaced in what’s considered one of the worst disaster events in the country’s history.
In Indonesia, over a million people have been displaced across Sumatra, and thousands of homes and buildings have been submerged.
We’re working with our longstanding Baptist Partner and local Baptist churches in the region to provide emergency aid for impacted families in Sri Lanka, Indonesia and beyond.
Give today to help families survive by providing:
- Food rations, clean water and hygiene kits
- Emergency shelter items, bedding and clothes
- Emergency medical support and psychological first aid
- Support to help early recovery efforts, such as helping people regain livelihoods and repair homes.
