UPDATE: On 26 October 2025, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) seized control of El-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, from the Sudanese army. Horrific reports of mass killings, extreme violence and attacks on aid workers have emerged. Reports are still coming in, but it’s estimated that tens of thousands of people have fled the city into areas that are already overcrowded due to displacement.
Meanwhile, ongoing conflict has led to a hunger crisis, with famine declared across Sudan. Experts say this is the largest humanitarian crisis in 2025. Will you help families survive?
In Sudan, conflict has disrupted agriculture and access to food, leaving over 21 million people struggling with acute food insecurity.
Families have been forced to flee their homes, with over 11.7 million people displaced inside and outside of Sudan. Exploitation and abuse of women and children have risen, and diseases are on the rise as families have little or no access to healthcare.
