Get into a comfortable position. Let your muscles relax. Be still and focus your attention on Christ. If you have any anxious thoughts or big decisions to make, ask God to take hold of them now, so that you can pray without distraction.

Thank God for always being with you… and thank God for being present with you right now, in this moment.

Meditate on this short passage of scripture; spend some time reading and re-reading this verse…

“Come near to God and He will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded… Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.” James 4:8-10.

Ask God to reveal to you, where He has been working through your day. As you reflect, consider… where can you see God in today’s conversations? Where can you see God in your relationships today? Where can you notice God guiding you? Have there been any moments where you ran from God or ignored Him?

Thank God for the moments in your day where you have seen Him at work and for the times where you worked together.

Ask God for forgiveness for any moments when you were distant from Him or disobeyed Him (1 John 1:9).

Commit now, to drawing close to God. Ask Him to show you one practical way that you can do that tomorrow. Remember God’s promise: “He will come near to you… He will lift you up.” Thank God for His faithfulness.
